St. George

This past weekend we took a short road trip to St. George, Utah. Daryl's brother, Grant and his wife, Kelli were blessing their baby that Sunday. We drove our suburban with our kids (of course) and Arleen, Cheryl and Karolann. My in-laws drove in their truck with Mikey, Trent and Grandma Lamoreaux. And Bret and Mindi drove in their truck with their two boys, Cameron and Eben. We all met at Daryl's parents' house at 3am. It wasn't too bad of a drive (71/2 hours) because I had lots of help with the kids. (thanks to Daryl's sisters) All Daniel wanted to do was "a game". I borrowed a little video game type toy from a friend in the ward to entertain him. He absolutely loved it! (thanks Lindsay)

We arrived in St. George just in time for lunch. Kelli's parents and her brother were there too, from California. We ate a a place call Iceberg (a diner type restaurant) and checked in to our hotel. I put the kids down for a much needed nap. (Daniel slept maybe 1/2 hour from 3 am on.) Daryl and some of his siblings went for a swim in the pool. Later, Kelli made ham and potatoes for dinner, and others brought rolls and a salad. Thanks Kelli!

The next day, we all met up again at Grant's for a lovely strawberries and waffle breakfast. Chuch started at 1, so we had to eat lunch and head home soon after that.

Daniel really loved being there and playing with Kaylob and Cameron, and the other kids. It was so great to be there for Baby Reilly's blessing, and to see Grant and Kelli, and Kaylob again. They are such a great little family.

6 Months

Heidi, (as of the 11th) is now 6 months old. Crazy huh? I can't believe how much she's already grown and how much she has taught me as a mom. At 6 months Heidi weighs 15 lbs 12 oz and is 26 in. long. Here are the 6 month pictures I took last week of our sweet Heidi Girl. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day!!

My Mother's Day was a pretty good one this year. (I can say this looking at it in hind-sight) As some people have said, I "earned my motherhood" yesterday. I honestly have no idea how Daniel was for church. I spent 3/4 of the entire block in and out of the mother's room with Heidi. Our little happy girl was anything but for the entire day. This, as I found out today, was due to an ear infection in her right ear. Poor baby. Thank goodness she had her 6 month appointment today or I wouldn't have even known it.

Daryl bought us a Sit-n-Stand stroller a week ago. I found a really nice one on Craigslist for a super good price. It's already made my life so much easier. He also gave me a sweet little card that he made himself.

In the grand scheme of things, there really is nothing worth complaining about. I have two beautiful, healthy children and a wonderful, handsome husband that works so hard so that I can stay home and be their mom 24/7. There is no where else I'd rather be than home with these kids. (Even if with occasional days of craziness.) They are my life. What more could a mother ask for?
