Food Glorious Food!!

Last week at Heidi's appointment, our pediatrician recommended that I start her on solids to make sure that she was getting enough iron. I wasn't really planning in solids quite yet. (Just barely 4 months still seems a bit young to me.) The more I thought about it, the more I remembered how frustrated I've been lately with a crazy change in her feeding schedule. Could it be, at just barely 4 months old, that she's ready for solid food? I suppose they say 4-6 months for a reason right? So yesterday evening I decided to give it a shot. Daddy took the pictures while I fed her.

At first she didn't know what to think.

By the time she had taken a few more bites, she was totally into it! Unfortunately, first meals don't last very long. Hedi wasn't all too happy about that. She wanted more!

"I Parky"

This morning Daniel decided he was a dog. He's done this a few times before, but this time he was really into it. I usually humor him and call him Puppy Dog. This time he told me, "I Parky!" (I'm assuming he said "I'm Sparky!") Where he came up with this name, I don't know. So, here are some pictures of Daniel, oh I mean "Parky" the Puppy Dog.

Four Months- Update

Can you believe it? Heidi is 4 moths old today. She's already in 3-6 month clothes (and even growing OUT of some of them already). This is all a little crazy to me. Daniel didn't grow into 3-6 month clothes until he was closer to 5 months old. Anyways, here are some beautiful pictures of Heidi at 4 months. She is already turning out to be such a beauty.
Update 2 days later- Ok, so we took Heidi to her 4 month check up today. Here are the stats, (in case anyone besides me is interested). Weight: 14.9 lbs (75%) Height: 26 1/4 in. (97%) No wonder she's already out growing her new clothes.

DIY Daniel Lesson 3

Hi again! Daniel here for DIY Daniel. Today we will be tackling a project that is a little more involved. So dust off those power tools and let's begin.

Lesson 3- Baby Swing Repair

Step 1: Crawl underneath the swing and look it over with your flashlight.

(Notice the tape measure on the tray of the swing. I had no idea that "measuring" was just the beginning of the process.)

Step 2: Now that you can see the problem, make sure your eye protection is on properly, and return to your work.

Step 3: Carefully drill the swing wherever necessary. You may need to put your feet on the swing to hold it steady while you work.

Step 4: You will also need to drill into the battery compartment to make sure the batteries are functioning properly.

Step 5: As we've mentioned in the past, it is important to sit back and admire your handy work.

Lesson 2- Bike Repair

Step 1: Tighten any loose screws under your seat. We recommend an alan wrench for the job.

Step 3: Don't forget to make sure storage bucket is tight as well, and then you are done!! What and easy project. Even a two-year-old could figure it out.
