"Bindi" and King Noah

For morning scriptures we had been reading in Mosiah about Abinadi. We recently read chapter 17 where Abinadi is put to death for his prophesies. When I finished reading Dainiel asked "What happened?"

"Bad-guy King Noah killed Abinadi because he didn't like what he was saying."

"Oh. Where Bindi mommy?" he asked

(I just love the pure hearts of little children)

"I don't know." I told him.

"Where piggy mommy?"

(He always holds his piggy and blanket for scriptures.)

"Where IS piggy's mommy?" I asked.

"At cow house."

Happy Birthday Heidi!

Happy Birthday, my little Heidi Girl! You are 1 year old today. I can't believe that on this day last year I was looking into your beautiful face and wondering what you were going to add to this little family of ours. You have such a joy to us! This first year has flown by so fast. I have watched you grow and enjoyed the excitement on your face when you have learned something new. I can't wait to see you discover that you can walk all by yourself. You are going to love it!

We had a party for you last Saturday (Nov. 7th) We took lots of pictures so, when you get older, you can see just a small group of the many people who love you. I apologize in advance for the large amount of pictures. It was hard enough to narrow it down to just these.

Uncle Jeremiah and Aunt Kerami helped decorate the back yard, and Mommy made a lady bug bean bag toss.

We also played with balloons.

Skylar and Noah tried popping theirs.

Grams and Gramps Christensen were there, and John Hardy, Uncle Jeremiah, and Cameron too.

Mommy made snacks and Daddy made homemade root beer.

When we started opening your gifts, you didn't want anything to do with it.

When you figured it out, you really liked the ball that Daniel gave you.

Cute clothes from Aunt Marily and her family, and a fuzzy ducky from Daddy's cousin Kyndra. Grandma Lamoreaux, Cheryl, and Karolann brought fun toys and a pretty dress for church.

You got a card from Great Grandma Burgess (Great Grandpa stayed home), and one from Grams and Gramps Christensen. Grandma J'net gave you a sweet little baby and we wrapped it up in the quilt from Grams.

After gifts, it was time for your birthday cake. Grandma J'net helped ALOT to make it for you.

At first you tried licking it.
You decided it was better to just grab some.
Through most of the party you were playing shy and tried to cover your eyes. You ended up with frosting all over your face.
After about ten minutes with the cake, you had finally had enough.

Everyone seemed to have a good time. The party was a great success.

Happy Halloween

We had a wonderful Halloween this year. We had a blast the week before at my in-laws for the Lamoreaux family party. We carved pumpkins, we ate dinner, we played games. Those that had one wore a costume, and we took lots of pictures of everyone. Unfortunately, I didn't get any with my camera. Sorry. As in years passed, the party was well done. Thanks Cheryl, for all of your hard work. You're my hero!

Halloween night was lots of fun too. Daryl's cousin, Courtney and her husband Bryan came over after dinner and trick or treated with us down a few streets in our neighborhood. Before we headed out, Daryl got some cute pictures of the kids.

This year they were Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Daniel had no trouble posing for the camera. Heidi wasn't happy about having to wear her ears for her picture.

She barely wore them at all for Halloween. Oh well.

Happy Anniversary!

On this day, 6 years ago, at 9:45am, I married the most handsome man ever! This year, He told me not to worry about a thing. He arranged for a babysitter, and took me out to breakfast at Golden Corral. I got to eat WHATEVER I WANTED! (most of you understand my excitement) I had biscuits and gravy, eggs, pancakes, sausage, and a salad.
"You're eating a salad for breakfast?" Daryl asked.
"Um, Yeah! Do you know how longs it's been since I've had ranch!?"
"A long time." It was great fun.
Then we drove over to Walmart and picked out pumpkins to carve at the Lamoreaux family party. Thanks, honey for a great anniversary breakfast. I love you.

11 Months

Heidi turned 11 months on October 11th. She already has so much personality. She is always smiling and laughing, and has also learned to clap her hands. She can also wave hi and bye, but only when she feels like it. She pulls herself up to the furniture, and sometimes she'll walk around, holding on. She loves to walk and push her push toy, as long as it's on the carpet. She loves to climb on the play table. Now that she is bigger, Daniel likes to flip it over and play teeter-totter with her.We love you Heidi!
